They are some of the most destructive, hungriest termites in the world, and they cause over two billion dollars of property damage in the United States every year. The Formosans are also known as one of the most formidable termites because of the speed at which they eat. These little munching monsters can completely ravage a foundation before the homeowner even notices the damage.
